Sometimes you just have to step outside of normal and learn to love things that are different, which is exactly what we did with these unique modded laptops. Scorched Earth:

This is a “too cool” for words laptop mod created by Dave Williams over at bit-tech.net. After a trip to the site from the link we provided, you will find the incredible artistry that went into the creation of this mod, as they take you through it step by step with both pictures and commenting. Even the small details like the skulls were hand made and painted to accompany this piece. Great work Dave!

Steampunk Laptop:

Built to replicate a Victorian music box, datamancer.net has included all of the bells and whistles in this very ornate laptop mod. There is so much detail in this laptop mod we don’t even know where to begin describing it, so just take a look for yourself. There are more pictures available at the creators site.

Legnatile - The Wooden Laptop:

This is a great laptop mod. The entire case has been custom and hand made from wood by the creator Gabriele Zaverio. Gabriele began making these in his workshop in 1998 and is still going at it, if you are interested in purchasing one of these you can contact him through his website for pricing and information.

24kt Gold 17″ Macbook Pro:

How about a 17″ Macbook Pro plated in 24kt gold? That will make everyone in the office jealous, that is of course if you could afford the thing, given the fact that the Apple logo has more diamonds than my wife’s wedding ring. Never the less, it is a beautiful laptop and the team over at computer-choppers.com did an amazing job.

Dual Dragon Laptop Mod:

This is a nice laptop mod featuring dual dragons and a custom paint job done by the fine folks over at DragonSteelMods.com.

Ironwork Laptop:

While this is a very interesting laptop mod created by Monkey Farm and we would love to tell you more about it, the site is written in Japanese so until we learn to read that language you will have to let the picture do the talking.

Yellow Zippered Pokemon Laptop:

If Pokemon is your thing, exonome.com has got a laptop mod just for you. While this is not the best mod in the bunch, it does have some unique features like the zippered front and of course the Pokemon everything that makes it unique.

Water-Cooled Laptop:

Well it may not be the most attractive, or functional, laptop mod that we have seen, but it is a mod none the less and here is a 13 Step Guide to Build Your Own Water-Cooled Laptop.

The Wacky Wall Street Laptop:

Created by Jeff Jaxon, this mod is created out of a Mac PowerBook G3 and the total overhaul cost only $22. The top portion was attached with none other than a toilet seat hinge, eew! We found this information via macworld.com.
